Transpersonal Somatic Therapy

The Body as a Doorway to Wholeness

Our wounds are not only held in the mind—they live in the body, in breath patterns, nervous system responses, and emotional undercurrents. Through somatic therapy, we enter these sacred places with reverence, curiosity, and care.

My work weaves together mindfulness, Hakomi Therapy, Somatic Experiencing®, and Contemplative Psychology. The goal is not just to heal symptoms, but to reconnect with the wholeness within.

We Heal Across Dimensions: The Path to Wholeness

Three Dimensions of Self:

As human beings, we exist simultaneously across multiple dimensions of experience. These are not separate compartments but interwoven aspects of our being—each holding a key to healing, transformation, and awakening. In my work, I use a three-dimensional model to support clients in exploring and integrating these essential dimensions of the Self:

The Separate Self

Honoring the Wound

This is the dimension of the self, shaped by early experiences—especially those involving disconnection, pain, or unmet needs. Here, we carry the adaptive strategies we developed to survive- defenses, protective identities, and somatic patterns of bracing or collapse.

These embedded patterns—though once intelligent responses to overwhelming circumstances—can become barriers to our vitality and wholeness.

Here, we gently unwind trauma, tend to the nervous system, and reclaim exiled parts of self with compassion.

Healing begins by honoring the intelligence of the wound.

The Embodied Self

Awakening Aliveness

Somatic healing is a return to the sacredness of the present moment. As we come back into connection with the body—our breath, sensation, and subtle impulses—we access a deeper innate intelligence. In this dimension, embodiment is presence in motion. As the nervous system co-regulates and the body is met with attuned presence, new pathways of being emerge—integrated, alive, and responsive.

Here, we remember that healing is not about fixing—we are not broken—but a process of fully reinhabiting our bodies. This is the realm of somatic awakening, where life moves through us with clarity and coherence.

The Essential Self

Remembering Who You Are

Beneath all trauma, and beyond our identities, lies an untouched luminous center:  a vast field of awareness that is inherently whole. This is the ground of Being—spacious, silent, eternal. It is what spiritual traditions speak of as essence, soul, or true nature.

In this dimension, healing becomes re-membering—not the self we created to survive, but the Self we have always been. Here, the sacred and the profane meet. Our human form becomes a vessel for the formless, and the qualities of Being—love, wisdom, joy, peace, stillness, and presence—shine through our embodied life.

This is the dimension accessed through contemplative and insight-based practices, supported by mindfulness, meditation, and transpersonal inquiry.
